MAIN CHARACTERISTCS
ANTI-BACTERIAL
NON-POROUS:
Soapstone is bacteria resistant, it is also known as “anti-bacterial” since it does not absorb food or liquid, so any residue left on top of the stone can easily be cleaned away with just soap and water, and the residue will not be absorbed by the stone. Also soapstone does not need to be sealed with resin, unlike marble and granite. Soapstone is recognized by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA ) as a suitable surface material for contact with food.
HEAT RESISTANT:
You can take a pan right from the stove to the countertop.
ACID RESISTANT:
You can spill anything on soapstone and it will not harm at all. Due to its characteristics, Soapstone is required in many laboratories and acid rooms.
NO PROFESSIONAL REPAIRS:
Any scratches can be repaired by the homeowner in a few minutes, not requiring professional attention.
100% NATURAL:
Some people like the color and like to keep it that way, while others prefer to darken their soapstone surfaces. In order to maintain the stone natural coloring, no treatment is required, but if you prefer to darken, it can easily be done using just a natural dry wax or mineral oil.
This is harder variety Soapstone, a 4.5 on the Mohs scale.
CHARACTERISTICS
Soapstone is practically impenetrable. It is not affected by alkaline or acidic substances. One of the remarkable characteristics of Soapstone is its excellent ability to withstand extreme temperatures, from well below freezing point to above around 1000°C.

USE AND APPLICATION
